November coffee exports are expected to total 80,000 metric tons, or 1.33 million bags of 60 kilograms each, valued at $143 million, the GSO said. In November 2009, Vietnam exported 82,000 tons valued at $115 million.
The GSO revised the country’s October coffee exports downward to 57,000 tons, compared with a previous estimate of 70,000 tons.
In the 2010-11 crop year, which began Oct. 1, Vietnam has so far exported 137,000 tons of coffee beans, or 2.28 million 60-kg bags, unchanged from the same period last year. The value of these exports was $240 million, up 24%.
