Vietnam mobile market moves in four tendencies
Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) on May 12 in Hanoi announced four first decisive tendencies for the future of Vietnam mobile market in 2010 and coming years.
Specialists from NSN released deep analysis on mobile sector as well as the number of mobile subscribers and the meaning of these tendencies to the domestic market.
Abdallah Harati, NSN Vietnams general director, said that in 2010, the mobile market tends to change into high speed mobile internet. The total number of mobile phone owners is estimated to exceed far against the owner number of netbook, laptop or fixed computers. However, averaging only about one of four internet users in the world uses connection via mobile equipments.
The smart phones diversification of current applications and services will be able to create a rapid increase in the huge number of subscribers in the future.
According to NSNs research, in 2015, the annual mobile data circulation would reach some 23 Exabytes, equalling to 6.3 billion people downloading an e-book each day. This booming on data circulation would create a heavy pressure on network system of communication service providers (CSP). The growth of data circulation will exceed the revenue growth if CSP do not invest in right technology.
The year 2010 will witness another mobile tendency namely smarter energy usage.
NSNs study showed that energy consumption for communication network system accounts for 86% of total energy consumption and about 30% of total operation costs in developing markets like Vietnam.
Also according to NSN, along with tendencies of using high speed internet and smart energy, Vietnams mobile trend will also develop solutions towards customers and provide experienced solutions.
Up to 87% of CSP said that improving deep analysis on customer data will be one of first priorities in their business plans and 74% of CSP said that during last year, they changed into the service provision model basing on subscribers.
Abdallah Harati said that the successful customer data development of Vietnams CSP may maintain the relation with subscribers and take full advantages of this potential.
The year 2010 will be the time for the revolution from CSP to become experienced service providers. There are more and more users wanting to use services that can enhance life quality and enable them to connect with the commodity via Lcation Based Services (LBS), social networks like Facebook or Twitter on mobile equipments.
