Vietnam Jan-Oct Retail Sales, Services Rise 18% to US$53.66B

Vietnam’s total retail sales and services revenue is forecast to have risen 18% from a year earlier to VND958.27 trillion (US$53.66 billion) in the first ten months of this year.

In October, the figure is estimated at VND105.46 trillion, up from VND101.51 trillion in September, the government’s General Statistics Office said on October 29.
During the ten-month period, the trade sector has seen an on-year revenue increase of 18% to VND751.46 trillion, equivalent to 78.4% of the country’s sum.

The hotel and restaurant sectors are estimated to have reported an on-year revenue rise of 18.2% to VND108.35 trillion and the tourism and service sectors see estimated increases of 0.7% and 19.6% to VND9.06 trillion and VND89.4 trillion on-year, respectively.
