Vietnam, Italy strengthen cooperation in trade and investment

A seminar was held in Hanoi on June 8 to introduce the development potential of Italy’s Tuscany region as well as cooperative opportunities between Vietnamese and Italian businesses.

Addressing the seminar, deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Dang Huy Dong emphasized that both Vietnam and Italy have their own advantages in economics, trade and investment. However, two-way trade turnover is still far from meeting the potential and advantages of the countries.

The Italian ambassador to Vietnam, Lorenzo Angeloni, said that businesses from both sides should learn more about opportunities in the field of industrial production and private-public partnership, and asked Vietnam to create favourable investment environment for Italian businesses to invest in Vietnam.

Over the past years, they have invested in 21 projects with a total capitalization of EUR76 million in Vietnam. – VOV
