Vietnam International Industrial Fair opens

Nearly 400 businesses from Vietnam, Russia, the Republic of Korea, China and Japan gathered at the Vietnam International Industrial Fair (VIIF) 2010 which opened at the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre in Hanoi on October 19.

On display are machinery, equipment and technology for mining, automation, and measurement as well as high quality industrial products for mechanics, electricity, electronics, and telecommunications.

The organising board said that Vietnam is considered a potential and stable market, which is attracting more and more foreign investors. They hope that the 19th fair will help Vietnam strengthen trade promotion and investment with other countries and help domestic businesses gain access to scientific and technological advancements to improve their capacity and competitiveness.

The fair will run until October 23.
