Vietnam industrial production reaches VND574.5 Tln in Jan-Sept

The industrial production value is estimated to reach VND574.5 trillion in the first nine months of this year, up13.8% on year, beating the target of 12%, the Ministry of Planning and Investment said.

In details, the state- owned enterprises contributed VND131.5 trillion, up 9.1% on year, non-state owned enterprises manufactured VND201 trillion, up 12.7% year on year and industrial production of direct foreign investment enterprises rose to VND241.8 trillion, up 17.4%.

In September alone, industrial production is forecast to reach VND70.7 trillion, up 2% on month and 15.1% on year.

The staple which saw the highest increase year on year were liquid gasify (+121%), powdered milk (+26.8%), sport shoes (+25.5%).

Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Deputy Head of Planning Department, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the industrial production has remained stable growth since April. The growth rate is predicted to rise 14% in 2010 – Stoxplus.com
