Vietnam imports 2.1 mln tons of fertilizers in jan- jul

Vietnam has spent $846 million importing 2.1 million tons of fertilizers in the first seven months of this year, up 65% in value and 31.8% in volume, the Vietnam Fertilizers Association reported.

In the period, Vietnam produced 925,900 tons of phosphates, rising 6.9% on year, 1.2 million tons of NPK, increasing 31.1% and 123,000 tons of DAP, soaring 63.5% on year.

It is forecast that prices of fertilizers in Vietnam will rise slightly in the near future due to price hike in the global market. – Stoxplus.com
