Vietnam gold price soars to 38.2m dong/tael

In comparison with last weekend, the gold price in the domestic market today morning (June 20) increased 80,000 dong/tael but is still lower than the world gold price by 300,000 dong per tael.

At 8:50 am today morning, the local gold price continued to surge 30,000-80,000 dong/tael from last weekend to 38.13-38.18 million dong/tael (buying-selling prices). The buying price is about 38.03-38.09 million dong/tael. This is the highest price level of gold since April 30 so far.

The gap between buying and selling prices is about 100,000 dong.
The world gold price for spot delivery according to Kitco at 8h57 today morning (Vietnamese time) was about $1,539.5 per ounce, 300,000 dong/tael higher than the local gold price.
