Vietnam gas prices rise vnd10,000/ 12- kg canister from August 1

Gas prices in Vietnam rose by between VND8,000 and VND10,000 to VND365,000 per 12-kg cylinder from August 1 following suit higher world prices on high demand.

The gas price for August delivery on the global market has jumped $25/ton from July to $860/ton as the European countries enter the winter, said a representative of Sai Gon Petro.

This is the eighth gas price hike YTD with the latest on May 10 with a rise of VND4,000/12- kg canister.

Vietnam spent $373 million on importing 397,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the first seven months of this year, increasing 39.5% from a year earlier in value and 11.6% in volume. – Stoxplus.com
