Vietnam Firm to Export US$3M Electric Cables to ASEAN Countries in 2010

Thinh Phat Estate & Cables Joint Stock Company has signed several contracts to provide electric cables totaling US$3 million for ASEAN countries this year.

To realize the agreements, the firm has decided to spend VND360 billion (US$18.95 million) on building Vietnam’s biggest electric cable plant that will have an annual capacity of 50,000 tons in the southern province of Long An.

Last year, Thinh Phat shipped abroad over US$2 million worth of nearly 1,000 tons of low-voltage and medium-voltage electric cables to Cambodia.
