Vietnam firm plans VND600B limestone processing plant

Vietnam’s Dong Bac Coal and Minerals Investment JSC plans to build a limestone processing plant worth VND600 billion ($31.41 million) in the central province of Quang Binh.

The plant to be built on 20 hectares of Kim Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district will churn out high-quality baked lime and limestone products to serve for aluminum production, the firm said during a recent meeting with authorities of Quang Binh.

In the first phase, the plant capitalized at VND366 billion will tap two and three million tons of limestone per year and generate 300,000 tons of baked lime annually.

The facility is slated for operation in the fourth quarter of 2010, Dong Bac firm said but giving no construction timetable. (VEN)
