Vietnam exports $888Mln cashew in Jan-Oct

Vietnam is estimated to have exported $888 million worth of 160,000 tons of cashew in the first ten months of this year, increasing 29.33% for value and 9.21% for quantity from 2009,

Vietnam is estimated to have exported $888 million worth of 160,000 tons of cashew in the first ten months of this year, increasing 29.33% for value and 9.21% for quantity from 2009, the online newspaper Tuoitre reported on November 16, citing the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development.

Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS) confidently said that Vietnam is estimated to export $1 billion worth of 180,000 tons of cashew nut for the whole year 2010, up 123% from the plan of the year, still holding its world number one position in exporting cashew since 2006.

This will be the first year Vietnam cashew export topped $1 billion. – Stoxplus.com
