Vietnam Expects March Crude Output Down 1.5% At 1.22 Million Tons

Vietnam has estimated that March crude oil production will fall 1.5% from a year earlier to 1.22 million metric tons, or 288,707 barrels a day, the government’s General Statistics Office said Friday.

In February, the country produced 1.139 million tons of crude, or 298,174 barrels a day, according to revised figures from the government.

In the first quarter, the country produced 3.58 million metric ton of crude oil, down 14.5% from January-March of last year.

Natural gas production is estimated at 813.4 million cubic meters in March, up 43.2%. In the first three months of this year, the country produced 2.278 billion cubic meters, up 24.3%.

The GSO expects liquefied petroleum gas output to rise 76% to 40,500 tons in March, raising the total production for the first quarter to 121,500 tons, up 66.7%
