Vietnam, EU to Boost Tourism HR Training Cooperation

The European Union (EU) will continue to help Vietnam develop tourism human resources to improve quality of the local tourism workforce.

EU has provided EUR10.8 million for a EUR12 million project to develop tourism human resources in Vietnam, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

“The VNAT has met with EU representatives to discuss another project in the field,” a VNAT official said, hoping to receive more support from EU in the future

Vietnam’s tourism sector employs more than one million workers, and nearly 50% of them have not been trained.
