Vietnam Estimated Coal Reserves at 225 Billion Tons

Vietnam is estimated to have coal reserves of 225 billion tons. The volume comprises 10.1 billion tons of anthracite coal in the Dong Bac coal mine, 210 billion tons of bituminous coal in the Red River coal basin and 96 million tons of brown coal.
The country also has an estimated 7.1 billion cubic meters, of which 5.3 billon cubic meters are exploitable.

The nation’s coal industry expects to produce 107.8 million tons by 2025, including 100.48 million produced by the state-owned Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), General Director Tran Xuan Hoa said. (VEN)
