Vietnam Electric Wire, Cable Imports +51.8% to US$105M in Q1

Vietnam imported US$105 million worth of electric wires and cables in the first quarter of this year, a rise of 51.8% from a year earlier.

The Southeast Asian country spent US$36.6 million on imports of the products in March, up 27.2% on month and 32.5% on year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

China was the top supplier of Vietnam in Q1 with US$34.37 million, followed by Japan with US$21.53 million, Thailand with US$17.1 million and South Korea with US$8.53 million.
