Vietnam coffee supply expected to be plentiful in December
Vietnam Cocoa and Coffee Association (Vicofa) reported that unfavourable weather affected the 2011-2012 coffee harvesting in Vietnam but the supply will be plentiful from December instead of forecasted October of growers, according to Dan Viet Online.
Earlier, experts predicted that Vietnam’s coffee output in the coming crop will reach 21 million 60-kg bags, up 13.5% compared with the 2010-2011 crop. Even, many foreign traders also forecasted the output at up to 24 million bags.
Current price of Vietnam’s coffee is maintained at + US$50 per tonne compared with November futures contract. – Vietbiz24
