Vietnam Central Highlands Province Attracts US$3.4B Tourism Projects to Date

Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong had licensed 235 tourism projects, totaling nearly VND63 trillion (US$3.4 billion) to date, said Nguyen Thi Nguyen, deputy head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Of the figure, 70 projects are under construction.

Currently, the province has 673 tourist lodgments with 11,000 rooms, including 85 ranked hotels and 22 companies operating in the tourism industry.

Lam Dong will focus on tourism development of traditional craft villages and preservation of cultural relics as well as upgrading of tourism infrastructure in the future in an effort to lure more foreign visitors, Nguyen added. (Vietnam Tourism)
