Vietnam-Cambodia trade fair to be held in Phnom Penh

The 2010 Vietnam-Cambodia Trade, Services and Tourism Fair will be held at the Koh Pich International Exhibition and Fair Centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from July 15-19.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), Tu Minh Thien, who is head of the organising board, said that the 300-stand fair will present Vietnam’s economic achievements and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

The products will be displayed separately such as food processing, agricultural materials, interior decor, garments, footwear, travel agents, hotels, food and beverages, finance and banking, securities and insurance.

During the fair, there will be trade and tourism promotions, seminars to spotlight tourism services between Vietnam and Cambodia and to link Vietnamese and Cambodian distributors and producers, together several fact finding tours of the financial, real estate, construction material and retail markets will also take place around Phnom Penh

Over the past few years bilateral trade relations between Vietnam and Cambodia have developed well and two-way trade turnover in the first three months of this year reached nearly US$500 million, up 130 percent compared to same period last year.
