Vietnam Biggest Petroleum Distributor Hikes Fuel Oil Prices by VND400/kg

The state-owned Vietnam National Petroleum Corp (Petrolimex) said Monday it had raised the domestic retail prices of fuel oil by VND400/kg from 8:00 pm on Jan. 4.

After the price hike, one kg of fuel oil 3S is sold at VND13,200 and of fuel oil 3.5S at VND13,000 in urban areas.
Prices of gasoline, kerosene and diesel oil are still kept unchanged, Petrolimex said.
The price hike is in line with the increase in the global fuel markets in recent 10 days. The world crude oil price has soared 3% to US$80/barrel and is in accordance with the Decree No. 84/2009/NĐ-CP by the government of Vietnam to float petroleum prices effective from Dec. 15, 2009.
Petrolimex is the biggest among 12 petroleum distributors in Vietnam for owning 1,800 filling stations out of total 10,000 facilities in the country.
Currently, a liter of gasoline A92 is sold at VND15,950, gasoline A95 VND16,540, diesel 0.05S VND14,600, diesel 0.25S VND14,550, and kerosene at VND15,200.
