Vietnam Bag, Suitcase, Umbrella Exports Rise 12.9% to US$359.5M in Jan-May

Vietnam earned US$359.5 million from exporting bags, suitcases, hats and umbrellas in the first five months of 2010, up 12.9% on year, accounting for 1.4% the country’s total export turnover.
The Southeast Asian nation’s main importers were the U.S. with US$125.3 million, up 39.6% on year, Japan with US$36.7 million, up 25.7% on year, Germany US$31 million down 5% on year, Belgium US$29 million down 14.4% on year.
