Vietnam attends Malaysia international trade fair

Nearly 30 Vietnamese businesses attended the Malaysian International Trade Fair 2010 and Kuala Lumpur International Business Forum from November 9-11 to seek partners and international investors in Vietnam.

The events, themed “one world, one market”, attracted 370 businesses from Malaysia and other countries, including ASEAN countries, the Republic of Korea and Japan, to seek business and investment opportunities. The businesses also had a good chance to gain a better understanding about the free trade agreements and their benefits.

At the Kuala Lumpur International Business Forum, Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak briefed participants on the major global economic issues and inter-dependence among economies in the world.

Relations among countries are linked by many factors, such as politics, culture, technology and information, he said. The economy plays an important role in strengthening ties among countries. PM Najib said each economy should follow policies to expand markets, generate more jobs for workers and create an equal business environment.

On the sidelines of the fair, the Malaysian Trade Promotion Company (MATRADE) launched a “meeting between buyers and sellers” which attracted more than 700 guests from 539 companies in 58 countries to make acquaintance and sign business contracts.
