Vietnam apparel occupies 4.96% of U.S. market share

Vietnam’s textile and garment products currently account for 4.96% of the U.S. market share, up 1% from a year earlier.

By mid-Aug, Vietnam apparel exports soared 17% on year to US$6.3 billion, of which the U.S. market occupied up to 55%, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vietnam’s apparel sector expects to rake in US$10.5 billion from shipments this year.

So far this year, almost all of apparel firms have received orders till the year-end and prices of export contracts also increased 15% against last year, contributing to offsetting increasing input expenses.
