Vietnam and the US open ICT dialogue

The Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications and the US Department of Commerce held a meeting in Hanoi on May 12 with a working group of the Vietnam-US Information Communications Technology (ICT) dialogue 2010.

The activity aims to promote investment and trade in ICT products and services between the two countries.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of ICT in Vietnam over the next few years and the current ICT policies in the US. They proposed some initiatives to boost co-operation between the two countries, such as accelerating co-operation between government officials and the industries of the two countries, establishing a Vietnam-US ICT gate, and supporting training, technical investments and ICT services.
