Vietnam Airlines to launch charter fight to Adelaide

Australia’s Adelaide Airport is celebrating at the forum with a new charter route from Vietnam Airlines.

Australia’s Adelaide Airport is celebrating at the forum with a new charter route from Vietnam Airlines.

The airport announced at Routes yesterday that Vietnam Airlines will land in Adelaide for the first time on 20 November. Vietnam Airlines will operate charters flights from its Ho Chi Minh City base to Adelaide through the end of December.

The charter flight has been arranged through charter company Aspirion Air. Adelaide Airport is hoping the charters could pave the way for scheduled flights from Vietnam Airlines. The Vietnamese flag carrier already operates scheduled flights to Melbourne and Sydney.

“We see the attraction of charter flights such as these as an important step in our efforts to attract more international airlines and flights to Adelaide, and we have been working closely with the state government, Bunnik Tours and our aviation consultancy, Aspirion, to achieve this,” says Adelaide Airport managing director, Phil Baker.
