Vietnam Airlines opens more routes to Taiwan

Vietnam Airlines is to open a route from Hanoi to Kaohsiung city of Taiwan on June 17, making it the fourth from Vietnam to the island.

The national flag carrier has said the route, with three flights weekly, will increase flights from Vietnam to Taiwan to 28 weekly and its international routes to 46.

It also has announced a promotional programme on the inauguration with pre-tax ticket prices available at just over VND8 million (roughly $385), representing a 30 per cent discount, for 1,400 seats.

The carrier’s Deputy General Manager Trinh Hong Quang said the new route would help perfect its operation in an effort to make its dream to become a regional giant come true. – VIR
