Vietnam Airlines first uses Dung Quat Refinery’ Jet A1 Gasoline

Vietnam Air Petrol Company Limited ( Vinapco) received the first delivery of Jet A1 gasoline for plane from Dung Quat Refinery on October 12, 2011.

The first test order is estimated 5,000 tons/month from October- December, 2011. This was Vinapco’ effort to cut down its expenses as it will not have to buy dollar to import gasoline.

This Jet A1 gasoline amount will be used for airports in central of Vietnam to save delivery cost, it said.

According to PetroVietnam( PVN), PVN and Vietnam Airlines will continue further price negotiations and PVN can supply gasoline for Vietnam airlines in the Northern Airports.

In 2011, Dung Quat Refinery is estimated to produce 400,000m3 gas for plane, meeting 50% domestic demand.
