Vietnam agro-forestry and seafood product is estimated to have increased by 4.7% from 2009 to VND232.652 trillion in 2010

Vietnam agro-forestry and seafood product is estimated to have increased by 4.7% from 2009 to VND232.652 trillion in 2010, the online newspaper NDHMoney reported on December 27, citing the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

In details, agricultural product is expected to contribute VND168.385 trillion, up 4.2% from 2009, forestry product reached VND7.365 trillion, up 4.6% on year and seafood rose by 6.1% to VND56.901 trillion.

Notably, rice output reached 40 million tons, up 2.74% on year. Breeding pigs and poultry continued rising.

Seafood product in 2010 is estimated to reach 5.157 million tons, up 6.4% from 2009.

The country’s seafood export revenue is expected to reach VND19.15 billion, up 22.6% on year, including agriculture ($9.95 billion, +24.3%), seafood ( $4.94 billion, +16.4%) and forestry ($3.63 billion,+29.8%). – Stoxplus.com
