Vietnam agro-forestry and seafood product is estimated to increase by 3.46% to VND49.48 trillion in the first quarter of this year from the same period of 2010

Vietnam agro-forestry and seafood product is estimated to increase by 3.46% to VND49.48 trillion in the first quarter of this year from the same period of 2010, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.

In detail, agricultural product rose by 3.2% on-year to VND36.97 trillion, forestry output increased by 4.04% on-year to VND1.49 trillion and seafood product reached VND11.02 trillion, up 4.25% on-year.

Vietnam seafood output is expected to reach 1,098.4 tons in Jan-Mar period including 497,000 tons of breeding seafood (+4.2%)and 601,400 tons(+2.1%) of seafood exploitation, the Ministry said.

By March 15, the export revenue of agro-forestry and seafood product is estimated to climb by 33.3% on-year to $5.4 billion in the first quarter of this year, including agricultural staple($3.4 billion, up 56.2% on-year), seafood(+$1.1 billion, up 22% on-year), forestry product (+0.8 billion, up 1.2% on-year). – Stoxplus.com
