Vietnam – a key partner of RoK

A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology is paying a working visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) from August 8-13 to strengthen bilateral ties in their field.

Vietnamese delegates had a working session with the RoK’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST).

Head of the MEST’s Department for International Cooperation, Bae Seong Geun, affirmed that the Vietnamese delegation’s visit to the RoK is a good opportunity for the two countries to build their important partnership in the field of science and technology.

The RoK government and the country’s businesses have always considered Vietnam as a key partner, he said.

Lee Jeong Hyon, a MEST specialist, emphasized that the RoK will look to expand its relationship with Vietnam in the future. Communication between the two countries gives Vietnam an opportunity to learn more about science and technology development from the RoK, he said.

Mr Lee also expressed his belief that Vietnam will become a powerful country in terms of science and technology in the near future.

During their stay in the RoK, the Vietnamese guests also visited Eastern Asia Journal – the RoK’s leading science and technology magazine, Chungbuk National University, Kon-Kuk University, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), and Yonhap News Agency. – VOV
