Vietnam’s first int’l tea festival held in November

Tea masters and importers from 10 countries and territories will attend Vietnam’s first ever International Tea Festival in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on November 11-15.

The event was informed by Dang Viet Thuan, Vice President of the Thai Nguyen People’s Committee, at a press briefing in Hanoi on April 7.

The festival is due to bring together tea producers nationwide to an effort to promote the country’s tea products and culture to the outside world.

A series of activities will take place in the festival, including a photo exhibition featuring Vietnam’s tea-growing areas, to introduce Vietnamese tea ceremony, musical performances and culinary activities.

An international seminar themed “Vietnamese tea integrating globally” will also be held to call for investment in the tea making industry.

More than 60,000 foreign visitors and 400,000 local people are expected to come to the event.- VOV
