VALC gets 4th ATR72-500 aircraft

The Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Company (VALC) announced on October 7 that it has taken delivery of a fourth ATR72-500 aircraft, after inspections and a test flight.

The aircraft, which is licensed by Vietnam Airlines, was handed off at a ceremony in Toulouse, France.

VALC signed a contract for five ATR72-500 aircraft at a total cost of over US$100 million. It’s scheduled to receive the last aircraft in December.

Tran Long, General Director of VALC, said the company is also arranging the purchase of ten Airbus A321-200 aircraft, which it will lease to Vietnam Airlines in the 2012-2013 period. – VOV
