US market: Regulations and factual experiences

An international conference will take place in HCM City on November 10-11 to discuss product safety and restricted substances for garment and textile exports in the US.

The conference will focus on such issues as product safety, new procedures on investigation and the use of a list of restricted substances of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) as well as retail business performance.

The conference will introduce regulations which need to be observed by garment and textile and footwear businesses while exporting goods to the US.

Also on the agenda are the US and the European Union standards and regulations on product safety of guidelines and prospects of product quality control and practical lessons on quality control of SOP brand and investigative and quarantine activities.

The conference is co-organised by the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association, the Vietnam Garment and Textile Association and the Apparel and Footwear International RSL Management Group. – VOV
