US life insurer opens up in central Viet Nam

AIA Viet Nam Life Insurance Co Ltd has opened two offices in the central provinces of Binh Dinh and Ha Tinh, bringing the total number of its offices in the country to 31 in 26 cities and provinces.

The opening of the new offices is part of the firm’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the central region.

The company reported growth of over 80 per cent in premium collected on new accounts last year and 24 per cent growth in total premium collected.

It settled claims worth VND238 billion (US$12.5 million) and reported a net profit of VND72 billion.
