US fast food chain enters Vietnam

The CKE Restaurants chain is keen to expand its business on Vietnam’s consumer market, said CEO Andrew F. Puzder on June 1 at the opening of its first restaurant in the country.

Mr. Puzder announced that a total of 25 new fast food restaurants will open in Vietnam in the next six years.

Also, according to Puzder, CKE Restaurants Inc has signed a contract with the Mesa Group to set up 25 Carl’s Jr restaurants in Vietnam. Mesa Group has successfully run many businesses in Vietnam such as food and drink distribution, communications and real estate.

Apart from restaurants in China, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam, CKE Restaurants are scheduled to open more branches in Indonesia later this year.

The fast food chain is well-known in not only California State, USA, where it is based, but also in many other countries around the world.
