US dollar and gold prices increase

The domestic gold price on May 11 increased strongly by nearly 200,000 dong per tael against previous day and the selling price of US dollar in the free market also jumped to commonly at 19,020-19,050 dong (buying price and selling price). The buying price increased 40 dong/US dollar day on day and the selling price was up 20 dong/US dollar day on day.

Meanwhile, at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB), the buying and selling prices were 18,980 dong/US dollar and 19,060 dong/US dollar, equalling to the price of previous day. The FX rate announced by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) was retained at 18,544 dong/US dollar.

The gold bar price of Than Tai Sacombank (SBJ) was listed at 27.33-27.37 million dong per tael, increasing 170,000 dong per tael day on day.

The SJC gold bar price was also quoted at 27.34-27.42 million dong per tael, up 190,000 dong per tael from the previous day.
