US determination on Vietnam’s dumping delayed

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), the four Vietnamese companies are the Dong Thap Food Company, the Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Company, the Saigon-Mekong Fishery Company (Samefico) and Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company No. 2 (Cadovimex II).

Earlier, in its preliminary determination in September 2009, DOC said that the above companies did not dump frozen tra fish in the US market during the specified time frame. The final decision was expected on January 2, 2010. However, the Department has decided to extend this by another 60 days.

DOC said that it would consider its policy on anti-dumping for the fifth time on a number of Vietnamese frozen tra fillets.
