Unilever opens new plant

Unilever Viet Nam yesterday opened a homecare liquids manufacturing plant in its existing complex in HCM City’s Cu Chi North West Industrial Zone.

The plant has a capacity of 5 million bottles a day meant not only for the domestic market but also for export more than a dozen countries and territories, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.

Unilever’s Cu Chi factory covers an area of 12.5ha and has received quality and other certification like ISO 14001, ISO 9001, HACCP and ASEAN GMP.

The US$60 million plant employs 1,300 people and co-operates with 85 local material and service suppliers.
