U.K. Pledges US$28.09M for School Quality Program in Vietnam

The U.K. Department for International Development (DFID) has announced a financial support worth £17 million (US$28.09 million) for the School Education Quality Assurance Program (SEQAP) in Vietnam.
The Vietnam Ministry of Finance has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the issue with DFID, the Vietnamese government said on its website Nov 4, adding that the program will be carried out in the 2009-2012 period.
Pupils in remote areas are beneficiaries of the DFID-funded SEQAP.

The DFID-funded SEQAP aims to improve the quality of primary education and help children from disadvantaged regions access to high-quality education.
