Truong Hai beyond Toyota to lead auto market in Mar

Truong Hai Auto Joint Stock Co exceeded Toyota to lead the auto market in March with a total sale of 3,085 units, accounting for 32.4 percent of the market share while the figure in February was 23.8 percent.

Meanwhile, the total consumption of Toyota in March 2011 was 2,357 units.

The market share of Toyota in Vietnam decreased from 28.2 percent in February to 24.8 percent in March. Ford also saw a fall from 7.3 percent to 5.7 percent month on month.

Important contributing to the bounce of Truong Hai auto maker was the commercial car models with the sales of more than 2,000 units.

It is the second time, Truong Hai has surpassed Toyota in total sale. The first one is in April and May 2010.

According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), the total number of local assembly to the consumers reached 7,230 units, lower than the previous month (7,889 units). – Vietbiz24
