Toyota launches new Yaris motor car

Toyota Motor Viet Nam has begun distributing the Yaris.

Costing VND658 million (US$31,500), the Yaris, equipped with a 1.5-litre engine, comes with a guarantee of three years or 100,000km and in three colours: silver metallic, medium silver metallic, and super red.

The car has become a global phenomenon in the hatchback segment selling more than 5 million units in more than 70 countries by last year, and won the 2000 “European Car of the Year”.

It first came to Viet Nam as an import in 2007, immediately becoming a hit with young people, selling more than 6,000 units by 2010.

Toyta had launched the latest version of the popular multi-purpose Innova GSR 2011 last month.
