TNK-BP signs deal to deliver ESPO crude to Vietnam

Anglo-Russian oil joint venture TNK-BP Ltd. has signed a long-term contract with Vietnam’s PetroVietnam to supply Russian ESPO crude oil blend to the Southeast Asian country, the company said Monday.

The first 100,000-metric-ton shipment will take place in November, TNK-BP said. This is the first time ESPO crude, which is produced in East Siberia and shipped via the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline, will be delivered to Vietnam.

The company said the contract is an important step, as it pursues joint projects in the upstream and refining sectors with PetroVietnam. – DownJones
