The fair honours rural industrial goods and the industrial achievements of the Department of Commerce and Trade and the Centre for Trade Promotion in the 2006-2010 period.

According to the organising board, with State support, many local craft producers have invested in upgrading machinery and improved product design to increase their competitive edge in the market.

On the sidelines of the fair which will run through August 5, the Department of Industry will organize a conference on industrial promotion in the 2006-2009 period and a seminar on trade promotion among northeast Asia of nations to help Vietnamese businesses stay current with industrial trends.
