Third member of Viettel Group to be equitised

Viettel Works state-owned one-member Co Ltd has announced to offer over 6 million shares to public with the initial price of 10,000 dong per share on April 8, 2010.

The above mentioned shares counted for 25.83 percent of the company’s total chartered capital of 238 billion dong.

It’s the third company member of the military-run telecommunication group (Viettel) to be capitalised. Previously, Viettel Post Services Co and Viettel Consulting and Designing Co had finished their equitisation process in 2009.

The company’s major business lines include installation and construction for telecommunication works, radio and television sectors. In addition, the company specialises in new scopes of business such as basic construction, producing concrete pilots, mechanism, and investment and trading underground cable networks in large cities.

At present, the company has conducted some large scale projects with high technical standards like the highest antenna tower in Vietnam of 183 metres high in Nam Dinh province. Viettel Works Co Ltd is also the main investor of construction and installation projects of largest BTS system in Vietnam of 24,000 stations, in which the company finished installation works of 7,000 BTS per year within the period of 2007-2009, to serve for the largest mobile network in Vietnam now.
