Tender session held for operating Cai Mep-Thi Vai International Port

Vietnam Maritime Department has lately assigned the Overseas Coastal Area Development Institute (OCDI) (Japan) to carry out the contract of consulting services for “supporting the investors to operate the sea port” valued $5.6 million under the ODA-funded project of developing Cai Mep-Thi Vai International Port.

Accordingly, OCDI will take responsibility for offering consultancy for Vietnamese ministry of transport to set up criteria for selecting the qualified candidates to operate Cai Mep-Thi Vai Port. The sea port was supposed to be put into operation in mid-2011.

Cai Mep-Thi Vai International Port has been built in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province with total investment capital of 13.95 trillion dong, including four harbours with capacity of receiving 100,000 dwt ships. – Dautu
