Telecom service licence granted in 55 days

Vietnam’s government has recently issued the Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP dated December 27, 2010 on simplifying administrative procedures within the authority of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Accordingly, amongst 100 administrative procedures under the authority of the Ministry of Information and Communications, 87 are at ministerial level and 13 are at provincial level. Many procedures will be rescinded.

As for the “Licensing telecom service provision” procedure, companies can send applications on telecom service provision by hand, by post or other ways. The Ministry of Information and Communications will license or reject the applications within 55 days, giving clear explanations to the rescinding. – VCCI
