Teco wind motor receives significant order from Vietnam

Teco’s wind motor has received a significant order from Vietnam’s Binh Thuan province. The order contains 30 units of 2MW wind motors and the first 10 units will be delivered before the end of 2011.

Teco launched Taiwan’s first 2MW large-size wind motor in March 2010, leading Taiwan to become one of the eight countries that produce large-size wind motors. In addition to orders from Vietnam, Teco has received orders from North America, Taiwan and China as well.

According to Teco, the first stage of shipment will be 10 wind motors by end of 2011. The second stage will be six units in second quarter of 2012 with the rest 14 units by end of the same year. It will surely contribute to the revenue growth, added Teco.

Teco has been enthusiastically developing its wind power business. In 2008, Teco received authorization of technology from US-based American Superconductor Corporation, to enhance its design and manufacturing of wind energy products. Teco currently has four production facilities for fans. – Digitimes
