Tan Mai Group Starts US$118.5M Paper, Pulp Project in Central Province

Tan Mai Group kicked off a paper and pulp project with total investment of VND2.253 trillion (US$118.5 million) in Binh Son district of the central province of Quang Ngai on July 2.

In the first phase from 2010 to 2012, the group will invest VND853 billion to build a pulp mill with an annual capacity of 130,000 tons.

From 2012 to 2015, it will pour nearly VND1.4 trillion into building a paper mill with total capacity of 200,000 tons per year.

Materials for the mills will mainly come from 68,000 hectares of forests in the province.
