Taiwanese companies exhibiting at Vietnam trade fair
Nearly 20 Taiwanese companies are exhibiting at a trade fair which opened in Hanoi Tuesday, making the Taiwan contingent one of the biggest among all countries represented.
Nearly 20 Taiwanese companies are exhibiting at a trade fair which opened in Hanoi Tuesday, making the Taiwan contingent one of the biggest among all countries represented.
Two hundred domestic and 60 foreign companies were represented at the 2010 Vietnam International Industrial Fair. The Taiwanese group features Taiwantrade, an e-trading website sponsored by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Shihlin Electric and Showfou Electric Machine Company.
Some Taiwanese companies which have had an operation in Vietnam for many years are also participating.
Huang Chih-peng, Taiwan’s new representative to Vietnam visited the Taiwanese exhibitors and promised to provide assistance to their trade and investment activities. Huang was director-general of the Bureau of Foreign Trade, part of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, for eight years before taking up his new post in Hanoi on October 6.
Other countries represented at the trade fair, held from Oct. 19 to 23, include South Korea, the Czech Republic, Russia and China.
