Supermarkets earned fat money from May holiday

Supermarkets all had satisfactory sales on the four day May holiday with their noisy sale promotion campaigns.

According to local newspaper VnMedia, supermarkets were very bustling over the holiday from April 30 to May 3. People had to queue in front of the supermarkets and home appliance centres from early in the morning to be able to purchase discounted products.

Big C witnessed the highest number of visitors and buyers from both the inner city and from other provinces. The supermarket launched five big sale promotion campaigns on May holiday, under which it offered the price discounts of 5-45 percent applied to 2000 product items, from household use products and home appliance to fashion and food products.
